Building together, for good

Professional digital services for UK charities, for free

We help UK charities with the digital work they need but can't afford.
After outlining their needs, our professional team mentors students or works with vetted professionals, all funded by corporate donations and grants.

What we do

Too many brilliant causes are held back by the basics. We fix that. We always try to focus on practical delivery that can easily be maintained by individual charities

Websites and platforms

Fast, accessible sites with clean designs, structured content, easy discovery, and the analytics you need to learn and improve. We train teams to keep everything running, with reusable templates to keep costs low without any expensive lock-in. Charities often find they actually reduce their operational costs after working with us.

Campaigns and branding

Messaging, fundraising and organic socials, with lightweight paid tactics that fit any budget. We focus on clarity, brand consistency, and measurable results, making sure to cover as much cost as possible so charities don't have to shoulder any financial burden to get their message out.

Photography and video

Authentic visuals that show the work behind the mission. We handle everything from shot lists, on-site direction and editing. We build asset libraries in formats charities can use and reuse. We're blessed to be partnered with award winning creative agencies and collectives across the UK.

Momentum you can measure

Our mission is to be a force multiplier for good, so we care about outcomes, not vanity metrics. A single contribution to us unlocks completed projects for multiple charities, meaning they can raise more funds of their own and stay focused on their frontline work. Every £1 raised for Freelance for Good raises many more pounds for charity, all while creating new jobs and training the next generation of UK tech leaders! Since our pilot programme launch in October 2025 we have achieved:

Why it matters

Too many amazing charities fail to get their message out. In our work we have seen the best of Britain. Wonderful selfless people who just want to help, always doing so much with so little. We want to shine a spotlight on these everyday heroes and engage their communities to help lift them up.

Everyone wins

We've built a model where everyone wins and the work keeps working. Corporation, freelancers and students all benefit. We treat everyone fairly and get important work over the line

Projects that would otherwise not happen

We unlock essential work which would normally never be able to get done. We bring budget, equipment, and expertise to help breathe life into dreams and ship them

Fair pay for real work

We pay professionals fairly so great people can say yes. Students are paid too! We may not be able to afford paying a lot, but everyone hates the tired trope of asking people to work “for exposure”

Pathways for new talent

Paid, mentored, real-world experience for students who want to start strong. Making connections and building a portfolio that opens doors

Ownership and creative freedom

Our freelancers lead with trust. They make strong choices, move quickly, and stand behind the results. We leave charity teams with source files, documentation, training, and playbooks

Impact you can measure

We agree on what success looks like upfront. Donations raised, visits, signups, ticket sales, search improvements, and more. We also always follow up at 30 and 90 days for analysis and additional support

Testimonials

" Our new website finally feels like us and is actually reaching the community we serve. They listened, organised our messy thoughts, and delivered a website we can use and update ourselves. They did in six weeks what I have wanted to do for two years! "

Frequently Asked Questions

Who do you support?

We only work with registered UK charities and only hire UK staff. There is no shortage of great causes that need help, and great people in Great Britain who want to help them! Limiting our focus to registered charities means they are regulated by the charities commission, keeps engagements safe, and lets us be a force multiplier for good by making sure every donation made to us pays for itself many times over in funds raised for worthy charities across the UK

Why do you pay people if this is for charity?

Because fairness matters. You will not get rich working with us, but paying as fairly as we can opens the door for people who might not otherwise be able to afford to do some good. Paying also sets clear expectations, timelines, and contracts. Better for freelancers, better for organisations, with better results for better portfolios

How do you fund projects?

Through corporate CSR support, sponsorships from our wonderful partners, and grants. A single corporate contribution can power many many projects across multiple organisations. Companies get to see the value in not only having their donations amplified across multiple charitable organisations across the UK but also supporting UK jobs and students, and their marketing teams get real material to share as opposed to a black box donation to a traditional charity

Do you replace agencies?

No. Absolutely not and quite the opposite! Agencies do brilliant work for teams that can afford them, we focus on work that would otherwise never get done. In doing so we create and support jobs and mentor the next generation of UK digital professionals. We fill the gap for charities that desperately need help but can't afford it, and are happy to work with agencies who want to volunteer for causes they care about too

What kinds of work do you take on?

Websites, branding, campaigns, photography, SEO, social media kits, and more. We work directly with charities to map out their needs and develop prioritised briefs with clear goals. Whatever a charity needs and we can help with! As a rule we aim for work that has the highest leverage for impact, not just nice-to-haves (No point in building a brand new website for a charity that has a perfectly respectable one already, for example)

How do you measure impact?

By agreed outcomes. Examples include donations raised, volunteer conversions, event sales, improved search performance, or extended reach to priority communities. We share a short impact note at the end of every project and check in again at 30 and 90 days
